About

Woman with brown hair and glasses, standing in front of a wall of pink-and-purple balloonsAs a writer and editor, I empower my clients to put their best foot forward while telling the stories their audiences need to hear. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College, where I studied playwriting. My training in theater has given me a keen ear for how people speak and write, which I now use to bring my clients’ voices to life on the page.

I have nearly 15 years of experience collaborating with mission-driven organizations and individuals to get their message out in print and online. Since 2009, I have helped my clients land coverage in outlets including the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Houston Chronicle, the New Republic, and many more. In addition to helping others put their experiences into words, I write about food, health, body image, feminism, and more. My essays have appeared in Longreads, Narratively, The Week, SELF, and elsewhere. Read some of my published writing.

I live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area. When I’m not wordsmithing, you’ll usually find me working on a quilt or playing fetch with my cat.
